Abstract (EN)
According to their fasting blood glucose levels, the participants were separated into two groups in this research. Group we enrolled 120 adult participants with impaired fasting defined as fasting blood glucose ≥ 100 mg/dL. Group 2 enrolled 120 adult participants with normal fasting blood glucose (< 100 mg/dL). Both groups included age, length, sex and body mass index matched to eliminate any possible effect on the measured parameters. Each participant's weight and height be measured in order to determine their BMI. study included estimate plasma Asprosin, plasma insulin by ELISA technique (human company), plasma Glucose in full automated Integra (Roche company) and calculate HOMA-HOMA-IR according to the main equation. There was no significant difference in the mean of BMI (26.87) between the control and IFG group. In respect to Asprosin there was a significant difference in its mean (3.06) between the control group and IFG group. Regrading insulin plasma level, there was a significant difference in its mean (9.14) between the control group and IFG group, Furthermore, a significant difference was estimated in the mean (2.48) of HOMA-IR between the control group and IFG group.
