Abstract (EN)

Aim: The research was conducted as a randomized controlled study with the aim of directing the progressive movement exercise applied to nurses working in the COVID-19 unit to psychological resilience and fear of COVID-19. Method: The research room consisted of managers working in the COVID-19 units at the Health Sciences University Adana City Hospital between 1 June and 30 August 2022. The sample, on the other hand, was defined by randomization among the volunteer units of the person working in the COVID-19 models at Health Sciences University Adana City Training and Research Hospital between 1 June and 30 August 2022. has created. Data were collected with the 'Informed Voluntary Consent Form', 'Nurse Data Collection Form', 'Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC)' and 'COVID-19 Fear Scale'. The caregivers in the intervention organs were given a CD to do 30 minutes of progressive movement exercise twice a week for 4 weeks. No treatment was applied to the pictures in the control groups. In the evaluation of the data, frequency, mean, standard deviation, and percentage values are given. Chi-square test statistics were used to evaluate the relationship between categorical variables. "Student's t" statistic was used to combine the means of two independent groups of the scales, and the statistic of the "Paired Samples Tests" test was used for the variables between the means of two dependent groups. Results: It was found that the mean psychological resilience score increased significantly in nurses in the intervention group after the progressive relaxation exercise (t=-6.877, p<0.05). It was found that there was an increase, although not significant, in the nurses in the control group (t=2.230, p>0.05). It was found that the average psychological resilience score of the nurses in the intervention group increased significantly compared to the control group after the progressive relaxation exercise (t=-7.916, p<). 0.05). It was found that the mean score of fear of COVID-19 decreased significantly in nurses in the intervention group after the progressive relaxation exercise (t=4.766, p<0.05). It was found that there was a decrease, although not significant, in the nurses in the control group (t=0.902, p>0.05). It was found that the average score of fear of COVID-19 increased significantly in nurses in the intervention group compared to the control group after the progressive relaxation exercise (t=7.078, p). <0.05). Conclusion and Recommendations: Progressive exercise exercise can guide psychological resilience and can remove the fear of COVID-19. In obtaining the results obtained from the research, the progressive tension exercise is run by the executives due to its ease of application in the results and the avoidance of an invasive method.
