Abstract (EN)

Diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (DLBCLs) represent the most common type of adult non-Hodgkin's lymphomas and are characterized by heterogeneous clinical, histological, immunophenotypic and genetic features. It is fatal if not treated but with treatment, %50 of patients can live without disease for 5 years. Significant increase in survival rates has been seen after adding Rituximab(anti-CD20 monoclonal antiboy) to the classical chemotherapy rejime CHOP. It is defended that the survival will be longer by using new targeting agents. So, investigating new targeting agents has picked up. Recently, the favorable results of the studies using Brentuximab Vedotin, which targets CD30, for patients with Hodgkin lymphoma and Anaplastic large cell lymphoma have been declared. So we think; accepting CD30(+) patients with DBBHL as a new group in DBBHLs and using special treatment for CD30 will improve survival markedly. For this purpose ın our study the frequency of CD30, CD10, Bcl-2, Bcl-6, P53, Ki-67, Mum-1 expressions by immunohistochemically in 74 DLBCLs who were examined in University of Gaziantep, Department of Pathology and whose tissues were reported with Diffuse Large B cell lymphoma between 2006 and 2013 were investigated and possible relationships between CD30 and these expressions and effects of CD30 to the survival were examineted. These cases were classified as positive or negative for CD30. Thirteen (%17.6) of 74 patients were positive for CD30. Positive correlations were found between CD30 and Mum-1, Bcl-2, Ki-67. There was not significant difference for progression free survival and overall survival but there was significant difference for the response to the treatment between CD30 positive and negative groups. As a result, more studies must be done to understand the effect of CD30 to the survival in DLCBLs. Key words: Diffuse Large B -Cell Lymphoma, CD30, CD10, Bcl-6, Bcl- 2,Mum-1,Ki-67, P53.
