Abstract (EN)

Fâdıl Sâlih es-Sâmerrâî is a contemporary scholar known for his work in the field of Arabic language and Tafsir (commentary). His work focuses mainly on the meaning limits of language within the framework of the sciences of Me'ânî and Nahiv (syntax). He placed the center of his work on which criteria to capture the meaning of the smallest structural unit of the word and the words formed by the sentence and kalam (remark) in the most accurate way. Es-Sâmerrâî's work in the field of nahiv consists of four volumes, Me'âni'n-Nahvi, is one of his important works. In this work, he tried to explain the effect of the nahvî and composition structure of the sentence on meaning through the proximity between Nahiv and Dilâlet/Semantics. Among our early classical scholars, there were those who mentioned the Sarf (grammar), Nahiv (syntax) and Me'anî(guide of word and sentences) sciences together. They stated that each of them is a ring of the chain. Sarf science gives the meter (rhythm) and structure information of words and the science of Nahiv gives the meaning of the words in the sentence and the meaning of the composition. The science of me'ânî, on the other hand, is a branch of science that examines words and sentences. In his work Me'âni'n-Nahvi, es-Sâmerrâî tried to explain the relationship between this science, which is known as Semantic in the West and İlmu Dild-Dilâle in the Islamic world, through the subjects of nahiv.
