Child reality in Mavisel Yener's " Dolunay Dedektifleri" novel series

Mavisel Yener, whose main profession is dentistry, has written many kinds of works in the field of children's literature. He has many works in novels, stories, fairy tales, poems and theater genres. In these works, his novels are important. It is seen that the author created a work considering the reality of children. There is no study about the artist's handling of children reality. In this study, "İz Peşinde", "Dehşet Mektuplar", "Mumya Dükkânı", "Korkunç Satranç", "Ölüler Ormanı", "Yarasa Yarışları" novels were examined which are in "Dolunay Dedektifleri" series. The suitability of these novels to the reality of children has been demonstrated. The scope of the study consists of these six novels in the Dolunay Dedektifleri series. In this thesis, suitability to child reality of novels in Dolunay Dedektifleri series were examined with document analysis method which is one of the qualitative research approaches. The problem, aim, importance, limitations and method of the study were discussed in the introduction. The second part of the study, which consists of four parts, constitutes the conceptual framework of the study. In this section, biography of Mavisel Yener was given; In addition, information about children's literature, basic variables of children's literature and children's reality were given. In other part, novels in the series were examined in terms of subject, theme, language, expression, hero and messages and evaluated in terms of child reality. In this section child reality were examined under the nature of the child, prosocial behavior, needs, interest, understanding of morality, the universe of language and meaning, perspective headings. Also all novels have been analyzed according to these variables. As a result of the evaluations, it was determined that all six novels in the series were suitable for child reality.
