Abstract (EN)

Rapid developments in the scientific and technologic areas influenced the art of music as did in all domains. This rapid change in technology has a continuous development from the computer hardware to software, providing various choices in sound recording and music technologies that a musician, a music teacher, or a music student can benefit from. For the students attending the higher education institutions of music, developing technology contributes to recognition of music technologies, supports proper recording of the instrument that the student plays through the knowledge that is learned by one's own, helps to create one's own amateur or professional music products through the musical talents and equipment, thus, contributes to discovering the musical talents of the students. Today, the sound recording and music technologies, which started to be as important as playing the music itself, which are accepted as a whole with playing the music, and which are influential from the production of music to its delivery to the listeners, increase the importance of education in this field. This study is vital since it examines whether there are sound recording and music technologies courses in higher education institutions of music and determines under which titles they are taught, since it seeks to have information about the contents of the sound recording and music technologies courses and determines the physical environments that these courses are taught, since it detects the efficiency of these courses in order to make them more efficient. In this study, it was aimed to make an assessment for the teaching approaches of the sound recording and music technologies courses. The interview form technique, which is one of the methods of literature review and qualitative research, was used in this study. It was concluded that, in the higher education institutions of music, the courses of sound recording and music technologies cannot be conducted in real terms, and these courses should be a requirement. It is considered that the findings and results of this study will light the way for further studies.
