Abstract (EN)

In this study, which is aimed to evaluate the neurological effects of Music and Sound on the Brain and its place in medical science; The positive and negative effects of sound and music are emphasized. Mozart effect was used in the structural features of the brain and sound frequencies. For the effects of music on people; Subliminal degenerations performed with sound frequency wavelength were also included in our study. Besides, we started to learn the effects of music on the brain with the development of key concepts brain imaging techniques. It turned out that there was no "music center" in the brain, but on the contrary, different parts of the brain worked together during the playing or listening to music. It was discovered that music stimulates the "reward system" in the brain. In addition to the therapeutic power of music, it was found that it has positive effects on mental activities due to brain plasticity, so dealing with music, especially learning to play a musical instrument, improves the performance of the brain. Music is one of the indispensable elements of human life in every society, from the most primitive tribes to the most developed countries. Sometimes music cheers us up, dances from time to time, sometimes suffocating, sometimes it goes back years. With the advances in neuroscience in recent years, we have started to learn how music affects our brains. As a result of these studies, we learned that we can change the physical structure of our brain with the extraordinary power of music and increase our success with music education while opening the curtain of secrets that make music universal.
