Abstract (EN)
In this study, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in children and adolescents diagnosed with parents aimed to investigate the presence of other psychopathological symptoms, especially obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms. Admitted to a private hospital in the psychology department of the DSM-IV-TR diagnosis of OCD according to the criteria set by the 32 child and adolescent mothers and fathers of these children (n = 64) were included in the study. The control group that does not support the DSM-IV-TR symptoms of OCD according to the criteria of 30 children and adolescents with parents (n = 60) were included. Studies were included children with double parents. Divorced or separated parents with children living at home, children living in nursing homes were excluded. Children and adolescents in the study were aged between 6-17. Participated in the study in children and adolescents with a mean age was determined as 9:52 ± 3:37 years. SCL–90-R to measure psychopathology in parents of children with a diagnosis of OCD Symptom Checklist-90-R was investigated using psychological test. Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale for Children In children and adolescents as a measurement tool (CY-BOCS) was used. In the present study, parents of children with OCD were compared with the parents of the control group who did not have OCD, by means of presenting OCD symptoms. The results showed that, parents of the children with OCD presented more OCD symptoms than the parents of the control group and the difference was statistically significant among these two groups.
