Negati̇ve types in folktales of the Turkic world

Types of oral culture are indicavite of the life and cultural codes of societies. These species have many commonalities that shape the life of society and are not easily erased from memory. Folktales, one of the important narrative types of the Turkıc world, are carriers of the cultural richness of the people. Folktales combine social qualities on many axes such as good-bad, beautiful-ugly. It reveals the contrast most clearly. In this study, based on folktales texts of the Turkish communities living in different geographies, the negative types that represent the bad side of the contrast were examined. Thus, the similarities and differences of both ordinary and extraordinary negative types are emphasized. In Turkish mythical thought, the people's perspective on these beings has been discussed extensively. The reasons for attributing the sembols in folktales to beings with negative qualifications in public life have been evaluated with a detailed comprasion. The factors that cause societies to name on type of bad, harmful and negative have been tried to be clarified. Symbols and their reasons for attributing them to beings with negative qualifiers in public life are evaluated with a detailed comparison. The primary point in the study is to consider the functions of negative types in the text, which are part of public opinion. Thus, it is aimed to reveal what kind of changes these have undergone in different geographies. The second point is to reveal through whic type of unwanted, bad social events are described. In addition, it has been determined in a comparative manner whether on type exists in another Turkısh tribe with the same function or with different functions. A comparative study has been prepared by interpreting the changing transforming issues in the mythical entities used interchangeably from many angles.
