Abstract (EN)

This study was planned to examine the effect of pelvic floor muscle training given in addition to pelvic exercises with telerehabilitation method on quality of life in adult women. 38 adult women participating in the study were divided into two groups as control and exercise groups. While education and information about the pelvic floor were applied to both groups via smartphones, with video-based support; The exercises were given to the exercise group as a home exercise with video-based support at the beginning via Zoom and then via smart phones, and they were programmed for a total of 60 minutes, three times a week, 15 repetitions, 3 times a day, for 6 weeks. In conclusion; While only pelvic floor training was given to the control group, the other group was given training on pelvic floor content in combination with exercise. Evaluation was done twice in both groups, at the beginning of the study and at the end of the 6th week. The general quality of life of the individuals was made with the "Form-36", their depression levels were made with the "Beck Depression Scale", the information about the pelvic floor was evaluated with the "Pelvic Floor Health Knowledge Test", and the sexual evaluations were made with the "Female Sexual Function Scale". As a result of our study, we concluded that the pelvic floor exercise applied with the tele-rehabilitation method had an effect on the quality of life (SF-36 General), but it did not make a significant difference in the exercise group compared to the control group. In addition; Pelvic floor training applied with the tele-rehabilitation method has increased the knowledge and awareness of the participants at a high rate. It has been observed that tele-rehabilitation has an effect on women's health.
