Character education based in religious - psychotherapy

Psychology is a discipline which develops in Europe and America. It is mainly based on the thinking system of the Amerıcan scientists. Psychology has a short history and is becoming widespread in USA, Germany, England, Netherlands and other Europen countries. Psychotherapy, which is a branch of psychology, includes methodologies about people's diseases and disorders and has a discipline based on Western perspective. Thıs research, one's spiritual anxiety and insufficiency is discussed in terms of psychology and psychotherapy. After analyzing the concepts about psychology and education, I emphasized psychotherapy, religious education and religious therapy and handled this concepts in a detailed way. Literature review is used in our research. Results are derived from detailed analysis of books. Documentation, consultation and research technıques are used as well. As a result, it is important to use religious information as well as modern sciences during the process of psychological treatment. While building a proper character; religious information must also be used as well as psychological and antropological information. İt is obvious that religious therapy should be actively involved in the treatment as well as psychotherapy.
