2. SUMMARY The Effect of Resveratrol Application and Swimming Exercise on Calcium and Bone Metabolism in Ovariectomized Rats The purpose of this study is; Resveratrol application in overactomized rats and investigation of how swimming exercise affects calcium and bone metabolism. Study F. Ü. A total of 56 adult female Sprague-Dawley rats were obtained from the Center for Experimental Medicine Research and Implementation at the same center. The experimental animals used in the study were divided into 8 groups. Blood samples were collected from all animals for decades between 09:00 and 10:00 hours and then kept at -80 ° C until analysis. Calcium, magnesium, manganese, iron, copper, zinc, phosphorus and selenium levels were determined in the blood samples of the receiver. Alkaline phosphatase, osteocalcin levels in relation to bone formation, and hydroxy pyrroline and pyridinoline levels in relation to bone destruction have been determined. Determination of serum MDA levels was performed by Uchiyama and Mihara methods. The result is expressed in mg / g. The GSH amounts of the samples were measured by Ellman's method. When the serum MDA levels of the groups were compared, it was seen that group 2, group 5 and group 6 had significantly higher levels of MDA than the other groups (P <0,05). MDA levels of group 1, group 3, group 4, group 7 and group 8 were similar (P> 0.05) were significantly lower than the other groups (P <0.05). When the serum GSH levels of the study groups were examined, it was found that group 4, group 7 and group 8 had significantly higher GSH levels than the other groups (P <0.05). Group 2, group 5 and group 6 serum GSH levels were found to be significantly lower (P <0.05). Group 1 and group 3 GSH levels were significantly higher than group 2, group 5 and group 6 (P <0.05). There was no significant difference between serum iron and magnesium levels in all groups (P> 0.05). When the serum copper levels of the groups were compared in study, the highest copper level was obtained in group 6 (p <0,05). The lowest serum copper levels were found in groups 2, 3 and 4 '. Serum levels of groups 1, 5, 7 and 8 were similar in the study (P <0.05). There was no significant difference between the serum selenium levels of all groups in the study (P> 0.05). In the study performed, the highest serum zinc, calcium and phosphorus levels were obtained in groups 5 and 6 (P <0.05). The lowest serum zinc, calcium and phosphorus levels were detected in groups 1, 3, 7 and 8 (P <0.05). Serum zinc, calcium and phosphorus levels in groups 2 and 4 were similar (P> 0.05). In the study, serum alkaline phosphatese and osteocalcine levels of group 5 and 6 were significantly lower than the other groups (P <0.05). The highest alkaline phosphatese and osteocalcine levels were obtained in groups 7 and 8 (P <0.05). Serum alkaline phosphatese and osteocalcine levels of the other groups were similar (P> 0.05). The highest serum hydroxyproline and pyridinoline levels in the study were obtained in groups 5 and 6 (P <0.05). The lowest alkaline phosphatese and osteocalcine levels were obtained in groups 7 and 8 (P <0.05). Serum osteocalcine levels of all other groups were not different (P> 0.05). As a result; Overactomized, exercise-induced ovarianectomy and increased free radical production only in exercise-treated rats and thus tissue damage can be prevented with resveratrol support In our study, zinc, calcium and phosphorus levels, which are thought to increase due to bone destruction in ovariectomized, exercise-induced osteotomized rats, were found to approach control values with the support of resveratrol. According to the study results; suppression of markers showing increased bone resorption in ovariectomized, exercise-induced ovariectomized rats with resveratrol support suggests resveratrol inhibits bone loss. The most important result that our work should be emphasized is; resveratrol support is the conclusion of osteoporosis in rats that have lost bone tissue losses.
