Abstract (EN)

This research aims to determine the relationship between the traumatic experiences that university students are exposed to during their childhood and the dark triad personality traits which are perceived from parental attitudes. However, it is proposed to determine whether these grades are related to certain demographic information. For this propose, "Sociodemographic Questionnaire", "Childhood Trauma Questionnaire", "s-EMBU-C", "Short Dark Triad (SD3) Inventory" were applied to 371 students over 18 years of ages. In the study it is seen that the Dark Triad Personality Traits of university students were 2,50±0,20 points in men and 2,50±0,20 points in women on avarage. The research indicated that narcissistic and machiavellian traits were more dominant in individuals who committed crimes or received disciplinary punishment. A weak positive correlation was found between emotional abuse and narcissistic personality trait in women. A stronger and positive relationship was found between psychopathy (compared to other features) and sexual abuse exposure during childhood. In this study, it is determined that there was a direct proportion between negatory parental exposure and dark triad personality traits. In addition to this it is found that there was an inverse proportion between dark triad personality traits and emotional-warm parental attitude. The aim of the study is to be source of abuse experiences, perceived parental attitudes and darK triad personality traits studies. Keywords: Trauma, Parental Attitude, The Dark Triad
