The Relationship between the level of occupational burnout of healtcare prosfessionals and occupational satisfaction in the framework of the social state approach :"The example of emergency healt services in Ankara"

Health is one of the most important blessings for human beings. Although each individual lives in different conditions, health has the same level of importance. At this point, health service requires realizing resources with effective and correct methods. The health services provided by the countries are a social policy tool that they provide to their citizens..In this context, the effectiveness and integrity of health services requires evaluation within the framework of the social state understanding. The concept of occupational Burnout hinders the service integrity of health workers, who are at the head of the occupational groups that work with a human focus. Burnout reduces occupational satisfaction. The aim of this study is to evaluate professional burnout and occupational satisfaction, since the level of satisfaction and commitment, as well as the knowledge and experience of employees, have an important role in a successful health service delivery. In line with the findings obtained as a result of this evaluation, it is aimed to develop suggestions that contribute to the literature. In the study, the problem of increasing professional burnout was discussed, and the socio-demographic variables that interact with occupational satisfaction; It is aimed to evaluate it with the independent variables of gender, age, marital status, education level, monthly household income, time spent in the profession. Quantitative method was used as the method of the study. In all study populations, in groups categorized according to demographic characteristics, the relationship between the emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and personal achievement sub-categories in the Maslach Burnout Scale and the scores in the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale were compared with Regression Analysis and examined with the Pearson correlation coefficient.In the findings of the study, a significant negative and strong correlation was found between job satisfaction and the subgroups of burnout in all groups. There was a strong negative significant difference between occupational satisfaction and emotional exhaustion and depersonalization sub-categories. There was a weak positive correlation between the personal achievement sub-category and job satisfaction. As a result, occupational satisfaction is associated with employee burnout.
